you will need
1 packet puff pastry
1 large punnet of plums
200gm marzipan
1 table spoon of caster sugar
a 20cm across oven proof flan dish or similar
Roll out the pastry to no more than 1cm thickness and use it to line the dish with the pastry coming up the sides of the dish.
Roll the marzipan out wide enough to cover the base of the dish then lay on top of the pastry base.
Sprinkle the sugar over the marzipan making sure it is well spread out.
Cut the plums in half and remove their stones. Place them cut side down on top of the sugar and marzipan.
Bake at a medium temperature until the pastry is puffed up and golden around the edges and the plums cooked through. do your best not to let it burn!
Allow to cool before serving. Delicious warm or chilled with fromage frais.
